Ruins Seldom Seen

Southeastern Utah is home to thousands of archeological sites, many of which have not been recorded by archaeologists. Some of the Colorado Plateau’s best preserved Anasazi dwellings and their associated artifacts are accessible from FOE’s home base in Bluff.  Far Out’s interpretation of these sites opens a window to the past.  Vaughn’s current archaeological work and relationship with local archaeology projects provides up-to-date answers for questions such as: Why did the Anasazi leave? What can we learn from artifacts, rock art and ruins and how can we contribute to their continued preservation.Check out your options for joining Vaughn on your own custom tour on the backcountry tours page.
